📖 1 John Chapter 1

Reflection:

I will practice daily confession and self-examination, seeking to walk in God’s truth and maintain fellowship with Him and others.

📖 1 John Chapter 2

John writes to reassure believers that Jesus is their advocate and the atoning sacrifice for sin. He contrasts love for the world with love for God and warns against antichrists and false teachings.

“Whoever claims to live in Him must live as Jesus did.” – 1 John 2:6

Reflection:
True faith is reflected in obedience and a lifestyle patterned after Christ. We must stay grounded in the Word to avoid being led astray by worldly desires or false teachings.

I will deepen my understanding of Christ's life through Scripture and seek to imitate Him in actions, especially in love and obedience.

📖 1 John Chapter 3

Summary:
This chapter emphasizes our identity as children of God and the call to live righteously. John warns against habitual sin and highlights love as the evidence of genuine faith.

“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” – 1 John 3:18

Reflection:
Love is more than emotion or speech—it must translate into action. Being God’s child should transform how I treat others, especially those in need.

Response:
I will look for tangible ways to serve and love others this week, especially where there is need or hurt.

📖 1 John Chapter 4

Summary:
John calls believers to test the spirits and remain rooted in God’s love. He affirms that God is love, and we show that we belong to Him by loving others.

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear...” – 1 John 4:18a

Reflection:
God’s love provides security and boldness. When I truly receive His love, I can live free from fear, knowing I am His. Love becomes the driving force of my life.

I will reject fear by meditating on God's perfect love and choosing to extend grace and kindness even when it's hard.

📖 1 John Chapter 5

John concludes by affirming the victory we have through faith in Christ. He highlights the importance of belief, assurance of eternal life, and intercession for others.

“Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” – 1 John 5:4

Reflection:
Faith in Jesus is not passive—it is victorious. I am not a victim of the world’s chaos but a conqueror through Christ. Prayer and belief shape how I face life’s challenges.

Response:
I will hold on to the assurance of eternal life and intercede for those who are struggling in their faith or far from God.
