Embracing the Resurrection 拥抱复活的生命 Gospel of John 20:19–31 约翰福音 20:19–31

Embracing the Resurrection 拥抱复活的生命 Scripture Passage 经文: Gospel of John 20:19–31 约翰福音 20:19–31 Preacher 讲员: Rev. Rev. Aaron Liu began by highlighting the moment when the disciples were gathered behind locked doors, overwhelmed by fear and uncertainty after the crucifixion of Jesus. Although they had heard about the resurrection, their hearts were still troubled and hesitant. He emphasized that this reflects the reality of many believers today—we may know the truth of Christ, yet still struggle with fear and doubt. Rev. Aaron Liu reminded the congregation that the resurrection is not merely a historical event, but a present reality where the risen Christ comes to meet us personally in our situation. 1. Journal Isaiah 1 - 5

📖 Bible Journal: Isaiah 1–5 Isaiah Chapter 1 1) Summary God rebukes Judah for their rebellion and hypocrisy. Though they continue religious practices like sacrifices and prayers, their hearts are far from Him. Their lives are filled with injustice and sin. God calls them to repentance, urging them to turn from evil and do what is right. Despite their sin, God offers forgiveness and restoration if they are willing to obey. Key Scripture “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” — Isaiah 1:18 2) Reflection This chapter reminds me that God is not impressed by outward religion if my heart is not right. It is possible to appear faithful while living in disobedience. God desires sincerity, justice, and a transformed life. Am I truly living for Him, or just going through the motions? 3) Response Lord, search my heart and reveal any hypocrisy within me. Help me to live authentically before You, not just in outward actions but in true obedience and righteousness. Isa...

Sermon By: Bishop Dr T. Jeyakumar  讲员:T. Bishop Dr T. Jeyakumar began by highlighting the reality of doubt in today’s world, where skepticism is often seen as intelligence and belief is sometimes viewed as weakness. He pointed out that many people adopt the mindset, “Unless I see, I will not believe,” even toward God. Bishop Dr T. Jeyakumar explained that doubt is not always negative, as there is such a thing as honest doubt—where individuals sincerely seek truth by asking questions. He reminded the congregation that faith should not be blind but informed, and the church must be a place where questions are welcomed. Using the story of Thomas, he emphasized that Thomas’ doubt was not rebellion but a genuine desire to know the truth.

Journal Matthew 25-28

📖 Bible Journal: Matthew 25–28 Matthew Chapter 25 1) Summary Jesus shares three powerful teachings about readiness and accountability. The parable of the ten virgins emphasizes being prepared for His return. The parable of the talents teaches faithfulness in using what God has entrusted to us. Finally, Jesus describes the final judgment, where people are separated like sheep and goats based on how they treated “the least of these.” Key Scripture “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40 2) Reflection This chapter reminds me that my faith is not passive. It is revealed through how I live, serve, and respond to others. Am I spiritually prepared, or have I become complacent? The way I treat others—especially the needy and overlooked—is a reflection of my relationship with Christ. 3) Response Lord, keep my heart awake and ready for You. Help me to be faithful with what You have given me and to serve others with love...

What Kind of King Are You Welcoming?

Sermon By Rev Aaron Liu 讲员:刘牧师 Introduction 引言 Rev Aaron Liu reminds us that Palm Sunday presents a powerful and vivid scene recorded in Matthew 21:8–11—a moment filled with celebration, hope, and expectation. The crowds laid down their cloaks, waved palm branches, and shouted “Hosanna,” welcoming Jesus as King. It appeared like a moment of triumph and victory. Yet, within a few days, the same voices would cry for His crucifixion. This reveals a deep tension: they welcomed Jesus, but they misunderstood Him. Rev Aaron challenges us to reflect deeply—not whether we welcome Jesus, but what kind of King we are welcoming into our lives. 1. Lay Down Your Cloaks 放下你的外衣 Scripture 经文:Matthew 21:8 Rev Aaron explains that laying down cloaks was a public and visible act of honor and submission to a king. It symbolized reco...
