FREED BY GRACE Galatians 1:1–5

Sermon by Rev. Aaron Liu 7 June 2026 Introduction Rev. Aaron Liu reminded us that the Christian life begins, continues, and ends with God's grace. In his opening verses to the Galatian church, the Apostle Paul immediately directs attention away from human effort and toward God's saving work through Jesus Christ. The Galatians were facing the temptation to believe that acceptance before God depended on religious performance and obedience to rules. Paul therefore begins his letter by emphasizing that salvation is entirely the work of God. We are not saved by our achievements, morality, status, or spiritual accomplishments. We are saved solely by God's grace through Jesus Christ. Rev. Aaron highlighted that many believers today struggle with the same issue. We often measure our worth by our performance, comparing ourselves with others and believing we must earn God's approval. The Gospel, however, teaches us that grace is a gift freely given by God and received through fai...

Journal Isaiah 41-45

📖 Journal: Isaiah 41–45 Isaiah Chapter 41 1) Summary God reassures Israel that although the nations may appear powerful, He remains sovereign over history. He reminds His people that He chose them and will not abandon them. God repeatedly tells Israel not to fear because He is with them, strengthening, helping, and upholding them. While idols are powerless, the Lord alone is the true God who saves. Key Scripture “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” — Isaiah 41:10 2) Reflection Fear often arises when I focus on my problems instead of God's presence. This chapter reminds me that God's promise is not the absence of difficulties but His presence through them. When I feel weak or uncertain, I can rest in the assurance that God is holding me with His righteous right hand. 3) Response Lord, thank You for being with me in every situation. Help me replace fear with faith and trust Your strength when I feel weak. Isaiah Chapter 42 1) Summary Isaia...

LOVE THAT STAYED UNCHANGED

Sermon by Bishop Dr. T. Jeyakumar  T. Jeyakumar 主教博士证道 31 May 2026 2026年5月31日 Introduction 引言 Bishop Dr. T. Jeyakumar shared that spiritual growth does not happen instantly. Just as spiritual transformation takes time, spiritual decline also happens gradually. Judas Iscariot serves as a tragic example of someone who stayed physically close to Jesus for more than three years, yet remained spiritually unchanged. Although Judas listened to Jesus' teachings, witnessed His miracles, and lived in His presence, he eventually betrayed Jesus. The Bishop reminded us that being near Jesus is not the same as surrendering to Jesus. Remorse and regret are not the same as true repentance. Key Scripture 关键经文 "As soon as Judas had taken the bread, he went out. And it was night." “犹大受了那点饼,就立刻出去。那时候是夜间。” — John 13:30 — 约翰福...

Journal: Isaiah 36–40

📖 Journal: Isaiah 36–40 Isaiah Chapter 36 1) Summary King Hezekiah faces a major crisis when the Assyrian army, led by King Sennacherib, surrounds Jerusalem. The Assyrian commander mocks Judah and challenges their trust in God, claiming that no god has ever delivered a nation from Assyria's power. He attempts to sow fear and doubt among the people. Despite the intimidating threats, Hezekiah's officials remain silent and report everything to the king. Key Scripture “Do not let Hezekiah deceive you. He cannot deliver you!” — Isaiah 36:14 2) Reflection The enemy often attacks our faith through fear, doubt, and intimidation. Like Judah, we may face situations that seem impossible, where voices around us question God's ability to help. Faith is not denying the reality of difficulties but trusting God despite them. 3) Response Lord, when fear and doubt surround me, help me to trust Your promises. Strengthen my faith when circumstances seem overwhelming. Isaiah Chapter 37 1) Summ...

Witness That Shines – Salt & Light

TRAC Vision 2026–2029: Come, Follow, Become like Jesus 2026–2029 年砂拉越华人年议会异象:来、跟随、效法耶稣 Witness That Shines – Salt & Light 发光的见证 — 盐与光 Matthew 5:1–16 马太福音 5:1–16 Sermon by Bro. Jesus began the Sermon on the Mount by teaching the Beatitudes, revealing the character of true disciples of Christ. Christians are called to live differently from the world — with humility, mercy, righteousness, peacemaking, and love. After describing the inward qualities of a disciple, Jesus then calls His followers to become the “salt of the earth” and the “light of the world.” Christians are meant to influence the world positively, preserving goodness, bringing hope, and reflecting the love of Christ through both actions and the message of the Gospel. The sermon reminds us that every believer is called to shine brightly ...

Journal: Isaiah 31–35

Isaiah Chapter 31 1) Summary Isaiah warns Judah not to depend on Egypt for military help against Assyria. The people trusted horses, chariots, and human strength rather than relying on God. Isaiah reminds them that the Lord Himself will defend Jerusalem and protect His people like a lion and a hovering bird. Key Scripture “Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help… but do not look to the Holy One of Israel.” — Isaiah 31:1 2) Reflection It is easy to trust visible resources, people, money, or human plans more than God. Yet human strength is limited, while God’s power is eternal. This chapter challenges me to ask: Where do I run first when fear comes—toward God or toward worldly security? 3) Response Lord, forgive me when I place my trust in human strength instead of You. Teach me to rely fully upon Your wisdom, protection, and guidance. Isaiah Chapter 32 1) Summary Isaiah describes the coming righteous King and the blessings of His reign. Under godly leadership, justice and peace...
